One of the biggest transformations you can make to a car is with a full respray. We see many different paint jobs but many leave a lot to be desired. They may be fine from a distance but up close you can clearly see overspray. You can see the results of a professional respray above with nice coverage and no oversrpayThis is where a panel gap or join, typically around the boot, doors, wings has not been fully sprayed and you can see the old colour. We have seen some cars where this has been a feature and the entire engine bay has been masked off and kept as the original colour and this can indeed look good. However when you look between panels or open the boot it makes a car look cheap if there is overspray marks.
To do a good respray on a car you really need to take off the panels that can be removed, along with the trim, windows and accessories. Ensure that you cover the entire metal surface of the car with paint and then reassemble. There really is no corner you can cut and is why many professional resprays seem to cost so much.
There is a good guide on respraying your car here, but we recommend that you always get the job done professionally. Although you can do a reasonably job yourself there is no substitute for getting a professional in. It also takes less time and you have less mess to deal with.
